HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUINN!!! (part 1)

We officially have a 1 year old!  Unbelievable!  This has seriously been the best year of our lives and we are loving every minute of watching Quinn grow.  She can now tell us what many animals say (Our favorite is asking her what the lizard does and she sticks her tongue in and out of her mouth.), she is walking all on her own, and communicating more and more with signs (She finally learned help! Yay!!) and words.  We were walking around downtown last night and she seriously refused to let us hold her hand.  She was like a little maniac trying to get away from us!  We are going to have one independent girl on our hands!!

Her actually birthday was on Friday and then we had a small get together with some friends and family to celebrate on Saturday.  Quinn was so excited to have a house full of people and all of the attention on her.  Jackson tolerated the noise and chaos by hiding out on his favorite pillow on the couch instead!  More than anything I think that Daddy is happy that the planning is over! (Get excited Pinterest followers who don't have to see anymore pins for "Quinn's Party"!) It ended up being a perfect day...thanks to all of our friends and family who helped make the day so special for Quinn!  At Mike's request I am going to try to limit the number of pics below! ;)  (I will add another post about our Connecticut trip and celebration another day!)

  1. Ahhh! So much fun. I am still so sad we missed it but it looked like Quinn had a lot of good friends to celebrate with. Annbelle & Quinn will really ride around in style now. LOVE all the decorations. You seriously out did yourself. The brownie kabobs! Seriously. You know I love brownies. :) And her birthday outfit was just the cutest. Cannot wait to see her and give her some birthday kisses!
