We made it! In Mike's words we have kept another human alive for half of a year!! The past month (and some) has been quite an eventful one. Our big girl now has her two bottom teeth...and mommy and daddy (who are we kidding...really just daddy) have some new gray hairs from some sleepless nights thanks to those teeth. Seriously how did we EVER survive those first six weeks of waking up all through the night?!?
Quinn also got sick for the first time with an ear infection. She finally recovered from that just in time for her 6 month appt. and more shots! This time she got a horrible rash after her appointment. The poor girl looked like a red spotted leopard, but was happy as a clam the entire time. You wouldn't believe some of the looks and comments we got. I'm sure the other parents at day care thought she had some serious disease and we were infecting all of their children! (We promise that we were assured it wasn't contagious though!) Our assumption is that it was a reaction to one of the vaccinations, possibly the flu shot she got, but of course the doctors won't confirm that. She is fully recovered now though...just in time to start getting some new teeth we think!
As you can see below she even got to experience her first snow. Mom has been SUPER excited about all of the days off to cuddle and play with her sweet girl. Mike just enjoyed the fact that his wife was a little less cranky because she was able to sleep in and play with Q. At this rate this squirmy girl is going to be crawling by our next post. Here's to a few more cuddle days at home with our girl before spring arrives!
