Welcome to Quinn's Corner where we will be updating you on the first
girl in the O'Rourke family in nearly 50 years. Today Christin is 39
weeks and it is peanut butter baby time. We are currently sitting in a
hospital room at LGMH, my wonderful place of employment, for the
induction of our baby girl. It seems like these 9 months have flown by
and have been pretty easy (for me at least). The plan was to try
Cervidil to get Christin ready for Pitocin in the morning. However,
Quinn must have gotten wind of this plan and she has decided she would
like to start the process on her own. As we speak C is 1-2cm dilated
and 70% effaced which means no Cervidil. This is great on two accounts
one Christin won't have to lay around in bed all night and more
importantly we won't have to pay for that drug. It seems like we are in
a holding pattern for the night just waiting to see what Quinn decides
to do. Now I get to wait on two ladies instead of just one. I tried
posting a picture of Christin in her hospital gown/bed but she politely
refused. So here are some pictures of Quinn's nursery. The kid has the
nicest room in the house and she isn't even here yet. We didn't take a
picture of her closet but she possibly might have more clothes than
Christin (I know that is hard to believe). Hopefully the next post will
be pictures of our beautiful baby girl.
You and Christin are going to make wonderful parents!! Looking forward to meeting Quinn... won't be long now!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This is so sweet I want to steal your idea! I just read this and just started crying uncontrollably! Not sure if it's the mommy hormones or what, but I am so excited for you all. I can't wait to meet her!
