Happy Birthday Quinn!!!

Christin "ready" for the OR
It's official, Quinn was born today at 12:29pm, she was 7lbs 1oz and 20.5 inches long.  Like all ladies she decided to make an entrance and was born via c-section.  Christin had stopped progressing and Quinn's heart rate had dropped a few times during labor so Dr. Altizer talked with us about going this route.  After talking it over, we decided not to prolong what we thought was the inevitable and agreed this was the best plan.  It was a good thing that we did because she probably wasn't coming out the natural way anyways.  During all of her dance moves in the womb Quinn had managed to wrap the umbilical cord around herself and it was being compressed.  As a result, the c-section ended up being a little emergent due to the fact that Quinn's heart rate dropped while we were waiting for Christin to go numb. We want to thank Dr. Altizer, Dr. Shannon and Tracey from anesthesia (also Dr. Cordero who saved us last night with a clutch epidural).  As well as our special OR team Anabella, Salie, and Dyana.  They helped ensure a safe delivery for mom and baby in a sphincter-puckering situation.  Christin and Quinn are both resting comfortably and we are working on getting to know each other.  Now on with the pictures:
